Anchorage betekent Ankerplaats. Anchorage is tevens de Internationale Airport van Alaska. De naam is destijds gekozen door onze ouders. Voor de pensionering van onze ouders werkte onze vader bij de koopvaardij en als internationaal projectmanager. Vanuit deze hoedanigheid kwam hij regelmatig op Anchorage in Alaska.
Per 2023 doen onze ouders een stapje terug en is de verhuur in handen van
Else Inge Schaafsma en zijn onze ouders enkel nog zijdelings betrokken.
